Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996, in Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish as well as English ancestry. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family is originally from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult and she was not able to learn English in hopes of going again to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after she left Northlands. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16, she quit the school to explore acting as a profession. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. her dreams came true after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
