Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the sweetheart of America after she won American Idol in the first season. Her win was not only an enormous success however, it also secured the singer a contract to record multiple albums from RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records. The singer has since released several studio albums. Three of them made it to the US Billboard 200 chart, while others narrowly missed it. Her name is one of the most well-known artists that made it through American Idol. As her career progressed it was evident that she experimented in new styles and themes of music. Often co-writing songs to express her emotions. As a result of her distinctiveness and talent in the field of singing her work was recognized by the media and received a number of prestigious awards. The Grammy Award is her most prestigious award. Alongside her career in music, she has appeared in films as well as television programs. In addition, she is the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charitable organizations.
