Following a prompt for open auditions at age nine years old, with no prior experience acting when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath role. Flora was the daughter of the Scottish musician who was blind. They were relocated from Scotland to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century to arrange a marriage. When she was in her teens, the actress relocated to America.
